Commsoft debuted Roots II, for DOS, in 1985 in Salt Lake City.
They debuted Roots III, in 1988, and it was king of the hill til about 1994.
They later had Roots 4, Roots 5, Visual Roots and Ultimate Family Tree. Family Tree Maker (by another company) still cannot do what Roots III did
(reports to Word/Word Perfect files with embedded index entries).
Don't recall these folks names, or the name of their genealogy software.
