![]() Rebel News July 2008 The July meeting was held at RT’s Café in Richmond.   We had a great crowd.   I guess we didn’t scare Suzanna too bad because she came back.
She didn’t leave as many left over’s on her plate for Dan to eat but hopefully he didn’t go home hungry.
The food was great. I think we overwhelmed the servers but they did an excellent job with our bunch.
Thanks to Sue Ann for making the arrangements.
We missed Juanita at the meeting. She had some surgery on her foot so let’s keep her in our thoughts and prayers.
We also want to keep Malcolm in our thoughts and prayers.   He left on Sunday, the 6th, for Kuwait for a year.   We need to keep Dianne in our prayers as well as she holds the fort down at home.   In the infamous words of Roy and Dale—Happy trails to you ‘til we meet again! Stay safe and send oil. There will be a party at the Wilson’s on July 5th.   Hope you had a good time because it will be over by the time you get this. July 12th - Equus Run in Midway.   Buffet and concert by the Sensations.   If you want to go, I hope you contacted Kaye because it will be over by the time you get this too! July 18th - Homecoming in Bowling Green.   Contact Big Smith if you are interest in going. July 26th - Show in Lancaster, Ohio For those of us that are leaving on Sat. morning, meet at Lowes in Hamburg (Winchester Road) at 8:00. August 23rd - Harrodsburg’s Cruise In at the Harrodsburg Flea Mall and Antique Center.   Ice Man will provide the music while you shop for fleas and antiques.   Food will be available.   This would be a nice drive and fun evening.   We’ll discuss at the next meeting. September 20th - Karl Shannon’s Cruisin for St. Jude’s.   9:00-4:00 Rupp Area High Street Parking Lot.   This is a good show for a great cause.   Last year all of our members trophied! September 28th - Effingham.   Let Tony Morris or Kaye know if you are interested. September 6th - O’Reillys Great American Pottery Festival Antique Show sponsored by the Knights of Columbus in Richmond.   Big Smith was the only one that responded to this but we have another meeting before this event.   The Ice Man will provide music. Due to the recent break-in at God’s Pantry, Malcolm made a motion to donate $100.00 to them to help replenish their supply of food for the needy.   We also voted to donate $50.00 to the Corvette Museum. July Birthdays: Our next meeting will be held at the home of President and Mrs. Tony Morris on August 2nd.   PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MEETING DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED!   This will be a pool party so wear or bring your bathing suit.   I was told that if you didn’t bring a bathing suit you might want to bring an extra set of clothing.   Something tells me that some people might swim whether they want to or not!   Fajita’s will be served so bring something Mexican. Sorry I don’t have a calendar for you but I’m writing this from home this month and not wasting your state dollars!! As always, if you have an event you would like to sponsor or know of an activity you would like for the club to participate in-let Tony or Tony know. We are always open for suggestions.
