![]() Rebel News January 2008 Due to the illness of our fearless leader, Tony Morris, we cancelled our regular meeting on January 3rd and had an informal meeting at the Golf Course in Winchester on Saturday as we watched the Wildcats go down in defeat AGAIN! We want to welcome 3 new members:   Matthew Davis and his 99 red hardtop and Randy and Tonya Lewis and their 01 Yellow Convertible plus a blue 66.   Randy and Tonya have been hanging with us for awhile so they just made it official.   We look forward to meeting Matthew and seeing how much we can corrupt him! We had another awesome Christmas Party.   The food was excellent (as usual) and the dirty bingo was DIRTY! Sorry about being mean to you Lucy but I really wanted that UK sweatshirt. We raised a lot of money at the silent auction. It didn’t take Brian Harney long to get into the swing of things by running the bid up on everything. Good Job Brian! Greg James was the big winner in the silent auction. He bought a jug of moonshine.   Come to think of it—has anyone seen Greg since the party????? I heard that they had a good time at the New Year’s eve party. I guess they all survived; they were all at the Golf Course on Sat. except for Greg and Sueanne. Where is Greg? Our next event is the trip to Nashville. For those that are going, we will get together and decide where we are meeting and what time. Feb. 3rd-Super Bowl Party at Kaye and Danny’s. 4:00 p.m. til halftime. BYOB We will have our annual chillie cook-off. Big Smith, Dwayne and Kaye will make chillie. Cost if $45.00 per person. There will be a yummy buffet, a DJ for dancing and a silent auction. If you are interested in attending please let Kaye or Ann know by February 1st. We had a great time last year. You can impress your wife or girlfriend by taking her to dinner and dancing (unless you’ve been married all your life and you just tell your husband what time to be there) and you get to spend time with your wacky friends!! March 1st-Winchester Jamboree.   We will probably meet somewhere to eat (DUH) then go to the Leeds Theatre. Some of us went back before Christmas and it was awesome entertainment for the money. JP Pennington was there, the lead singer from the Classics, some other local talent and where else can you see the County Attorney, Judge and Mayor performing “Gloom Despair and Agony on Me”? Kaye will let us know more about this later. Feb 23rd/24th-Carl Casper Show in Louisville Mar 15th-St. Patrick’s Day Parade Mar 28/29-Knoxville.   If we can find Greg, he is supposed to check on rooms for us. We talked about seeing an Oldies Show while we are there.   For you younger kids-the oldies show is not just watching us older people try to get out of our Corvettes!
