 Newsletter May 2007 We had an awesome turn-out at our meeting this month. We had 2 visitors-Dean Taylor’s wife, Tina and their 8 month old son, Alex. Chester was back; Ronnie and Jennie were there and our old buddy, Jerry Moss, came in from Harrodsburg. But where is Ken????? Mother Nature has not cooperated with us as far as some of our scheduled events. We had to cancel our Makers Mark trip because of rain. We all know that Vettes melt if they get wet. We also had to cancel our trip to Bowling Green because of other commitments. Some of us did make the Car Show at Boonesboro. Don Meiners said he got a real good parking place for $15.00. The weather was nice and they had Funnel Cakes so all is not bad. I hear that the breakfast was not bad either. Huh Danny! May 19th –Cruise In - Stanton, Ky 5:00-9:00. Sponsored by Relay for Life. Contact Danny if you are interested in cruising over. As far as we know all the I’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed for our trip to Maggie Valley. If you have any questions about the trip call Tony or Tony. And this is the time that Kaye is going to fix sausage and biscuits for us, Big Smith. June 3rd-Karl Shannon Car Show in the Rupp Area parking lot. Proceeds from this event benefit the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. $12.00 if you register before May 19th (I think) and $20.00 after that date. Contact Dwayne if you are interested. July 14th-Cruise In at the Home Depot in Louisville. Tentative plans will be to leave Lexington around 3:00 – drive to Louisville and eat at Mike Lenny’s and then cruise over to Home Depot for awhile.
