![]() Newsletter July 2006 A note from Lucy-Just a reminder-it is stated in the By Laws that it is your job to keep up with your mileage to club meetings and club events and turn into Lucy at the November meeting. She is not responsible for doing that for you. We got the artwork for the club banner at the museum in Bowling Green. Tony Morris will call and see if a space is available. We were on the waiting list and next in line. Danny suggested that get a new club banner with that art work. A smaller one than we have now that would be more user friendly at shows. Judy thanks everyone who participated in the Jessamine County Volunteer Fair. We had 6 cars present. They gave away some awesome door prizes. Judy did a good job as DJ and we had a good time. Branson - We drove and stopped for gas. We drove and stopped to eat. We drove and stopped to spend the night. We drove and got in road construction. We drove and stopped for gas. We drove and stopped to eat and we finally got there. We got to see some great shows and learned that a man can go grocery shopping. They did a great job shopping and fixed breakfast 2 days. I think Chester might have been the instigator of that. The car show was awesome with around 200 Vettes there. We met 2 super couples from Ohio and Tony and Martha Lynn won a trophy with their very modified 1999 C-4 (this is not a typo) Vette. We drove down to Eureka Springs, Ark. and shopped and of course-we ate. It was hot, hot, hot but we girls can testify that the pool took care of that. It was a long trip but we had a ball. Thanks to Kaye and Tony Morris for making our hotel accommodations and Ms. Magellan for leading the way. Wilmore parade - 8 cars participated. The kids there thought our cars were “sweet” especially after we threw candy to them. It was a great day to show our patriotism. And thanks John for the tour of Wilmore! The Christmas Party will be held on Dec 9th and will be a Bingo Party. It will be help at Cousin’s in Harrodsburg and will be a buffet. A menu will be presented at a later date. You will need to bring a gift for Bingo (around $10.00) and we will also have a silent auction so bring something to donate for that. Tony Morris made a motion that the club contribute $10.00 per person for the meal. Although it is early, be thinking about officers for next year. If you would like to serve and in what capacity.   Please give consideration to an office as this is your club and you can only get out of it what you put in. Our next meeting will be held on August 3rd at Chester Ray’s business. (Ray’s Precision Repair) 897-5 Nandino Blvd. Take New Circle Road to Newtown Pike (going towards the interstate) and turn left onto Nandino.
