Gwen Mayes As Government Relations Manager for Brown-Forman
Corporation, Ms. Mayes assists with the development and implementation of the
company's legislative, regulatory, and
political strategies, primarily while promoting the responsible consumption of
alcohol beverages. With 17 years experience in health care policy, including 10
with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, she is primarily
responsible for incorporating health and medical research findings into balanced
discussions of alcohol and health. She holds an A.B. from Transylvania
University in Biology and pre-medical studies; a Masters from Emory University
in Medical Science; and is due to receive her J.D. from the University of
