The Cave Restaurant was operated by several different owners over the years, with periods of inactivity. It finally closed its doors around 1996. Thru the door on the right, you took about 10 steps down to an underground vault, which was a stone lined tunnel, which was used to store beer and other items in cold storage back when this site had a brewery in the 1800s. The tunnel, which was quite large, was the main dining area for the restuarant, in the late 1900s.
