Frankfort, Kentucky, photos downtown, 1973-1974
The two long white buildings housed the Division of Design, and perhaps some other offices for the Ky
Dept of Transportation.   The beige building just beyond that housed Sorg Heating/Air, and there was an alley
that ran by it, over to High St, the remnant of which, today, is a driveway to the History Center and the Ky Lieutenant
Governors Mansion.   Just beyond Sorg, the beige building with the black roof, housed Roberts Printing,
which had been there
since the 1800s.   The Ky History Center today occupies this whole block, except for the Ky Lieutenant
Governors Mansion, which sits on the NE corner of the block, on the corner of High and Clinton.
The white block building with the red sign on it was an automotive parts house, the sign was advertising GM/Delco parts, I think.
The brick building to the right of that is where a fellow housed and operated his business dealing with coin-operated vending machines
and pinball and amusement machines.   The Luscher House, originally on Ann St, was moved to this spot in 2001.   See it's original location 30-Aug-2000.
The house was moved to make way for the new Ky Transportation Cabinet Building.
