Hey gang, remember the Burger Chef restaurant on Versailles Rd, where KFC is today?
I worked at Burger Chef for a year and half (1970-1971), before there
was a McDonalds in town, and believe me, BC was a busy place.
Take a gander at the web site below for all things Burger Chef.
The Frankfort BC looked just like the photos you see on this home page. Burger Chef
One other note.   Two doors east of Burger Chef was a Jerry's Restaurant, with drive-in service.
It was a busy place in its day also.   Back in the 1970s, the teenagers would cruise the circuit...
Frisch's on East Main, Burger Chef and Jerrys, and Crows Nest, on the river.
The Jerry's Restaurant was demolished to make room for the new and revised East-West connector intersection.
Back in the 70s, there used to be a loop from US 60 to US 421 that went over US 60.
Now US 421 goes under US 60.
One door to the west of Burger Chef was a root beer stand, with a big sign
of a frosted and frothing mug of root beer on top of the building.
This is where the Captain D's seafood restaurant is today.
Behind the root beer stand was grey stucco house, where the Lewis family lived in the 70s.
